SIX bbq joints today. All in North Carolina. Now we’re in a rush to make it to Shealy’s BBQ in Leesville, SC before they close at 9. The GPS says we’ll make it there at 8:55. This rain is definitely not helping our trek.

As we continue down the road, we pause to reflect on the phrase “closed sundays.” No bbq for us today. Instead Brian will continue driving to my parents’ house in Maryland for a pit stop, while I edit our first glorious episode.
